The State of the Dead

Will You Be in Heaven After You Die?

"Will You Be in Heaven After You Die?" This is what I saw at the back of a car while I was on my way to the city. This really caught my attention.

I received a memo from the principal of the school where I'm working with. The memo stated that I had to be the representative of our school to join the Career Guidance Program conducted by the Department of Education. The program inspired me for this is one of the important things I need to know as I always get along with students and many of them always asked me about the career they need to pursue. And now I had packed up my things and was very excited to go to learn a lot from this particular training.

While I was riding on the bus, my eyes were wide-open. I seldom sleep when I take a trip. I love travelling. I want to see things while travelling. I always do sight-seeing. I want to see beautiful places, beautiful people doing their jobs. I want to learn how people do things. If this is the time that I could see them though I just pass by then I grab the opportunity.

My eyes caught the attention to this quote. And I love answering this question. I always meet people having this same question. I don't know if they really want to know the answer or this bothers them. Most of them have the same answer.

The question gives me anxiety how people believe when they die. If you don't know the answer to this question or have received the wrong answer, your belief system will be at stake. Why I'm saying this is because:

* First, if your answer is 'Yes' then that contradicts to what the Bible says. If you read your Bible, it says in Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing... Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished.". Psalms 115:17 adds, "The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence." So that's pretty clear that when a person dies, he doesn't know anything. Death is just sleeping. It's a dreamless sleep. Psalms 13:3, John 11:11, 13.

You might ask, "What can you say about the people who experienced seeing, and even talking with their love ones who are already dead?"

My country is on war against drugs. Many families of the suspected drug pushers told the media that their family members who were killed were not involved in any drug related activities. That strikes me to the heart and confirms how I believe about death. The cases would be too easy to solve if the victim would show up and tell the policemen or the court that they are just casualties on this and that they never did any drug selling or any related activities. But why they can't do it? It's because the dead knows nothing. The "spirit" that showed up to those who experienced seeing them is Satan and his angels who masquerade as dead ones, even "transformed into an angel of light." 2 Corinthians 11:14.

The dead is waiting for the resurrection time. There are two types of resurrection. The resurrection of life and the resurrection of condemnation. John 5:28,29. The resurrection of life which is the first resurrection will happen on Jesus second coming. 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17. He will take them to heaven. Remember that those who are not resurrected at that time will have to wait until the thousand years will finish. That's the second resurrection. Revelation 20:5.

* Second, if your answer is 'No' then you really understand how God gives information regarding death. Because if we have questions in life, then the Bible has the answer. When you said 'No', that means you consider what you have read above.

Do you have that same question? Does death bother you too? What do you think?
